staying up late every night to finish artwork and assignments and neglecting pride and prejudice. beirut is on, constantly--those notes take me to a better place, with gypsies and sepia tones and wine. yesterday i left the house to see maria, who was gone for days and days and that kept me indoors for those days and days. i drew a bad tree while she neglected to read and/or respond to huck finn and, instead, turned mark twain into the joker. she gave me books to gut and turn into sketchbooks. one has an x-ray of somebody's ribcage with the words DREAD DISEASES on the cover in big read letters. i'm going to fill it with tracing paper while still leaving some of the pages inside.
i bought this baby
and it's on its way to my house. yessssss.
